Inclusive language

Ask AI
Copy a prompt to ask an AI assistant about this page.

Use language that respects all users by avoiding stereotypes, biases and discriminatory expressions. Always follow company branding guidelines to ensure your writing is welcoming, neutral, and allows space for self-identification and diverse perspectives.

General rules

Use clear, neutral and inclusive language, avoiding stereotypes or terms with social history tied to ethnicity, nationality or cultural identity. See: Voice and tone

Use terms that describe processes, technology or jobs, not people or users. See: User management

Avoid idioms, metaphors or slang that may not translate well across cultures or abilities.
